Since Halloween is right around the corner. I decided to share with you some fun and educational activities to do with your children.
ART
Puffy paint:
Mix
1/2 cup of shaving cream with 1 tablespoon
of
orange paint. Do the same with black paint.
Encourage
the kids to paint Halloween pictures.
As
the paint dries, see what happens
RECIPE
SLIME SWAMP JUICE
-Witch's favorite drink
1
can frozen lemon-lime soda
1
can frozen white grape juice
1
drop green food coloring
Gummi
spiders, worms
Children
can dilute the frozen cans in water.
They
can also stir the drink and add all the
gummies.
Then pretend that you got this recipe
from
a witch.
BOOKS AND SONGS
These
are two books I found from Scholastics.
My
kids at the daycare absolutely enjoy these books.
They
love to sing along and look at the pictures.

SCIENCE
Halloween microwave play dough
1
cup flour
1/2
cup salt
1
cup water
2
tbsp oil
3
tsp cream of tarter
Mix
dry ingredients. Mix liquids. Combine ingredients and
microwave
on high for 1 1/2 minutes. Stir microwave on
high
for another 1 1/2 minutes then let cool. Store in covered
container.
CIRCLE TIME

Discuss safety issues about trick-or-treating

Go for a walk and practice crossing the street safely
